PRESS NOTE A big and ambitious project has been developed by Maglificio Ripa to ensure a modern approach to fashion thanks to the cooperation with qualified designers who are well known in the field and who are capable of teaming exceptional content innovation with a cutting-edge and exclusive look, entailing all womenswear’s compartments: from outerwear to knitwear, shirting to dressing, up to leggings. With regards to the DRESS Fall-Winter 2012-2013 collection, the inspiration stems from the very drapery style, both in aesthetics and colouring, with a strong jacquard pattern through all the ranges; charming colour hues strongly focussed on blue and grey in all their tones and matched to sophisticated patterns: micro and macro stripes and never-obvious or never-ordinary all-over motifs. The DRESS range entails the whole universe of womenswear, together with lingerie that can double as outerwear. The beachwear 2013 SPLASH collection instead, has been radically and fully revised, now showing sophisticated garments and a great novelty which will be previewed at Première Vision in Paris and officially presented at Maredimoda in Cannes: it will relate to the embroidery universe, as the result of revolutionary and previously unseen technical studies and design. The SKIN collection (underwear) has also been greatly revised by focussing on shapewear , whose big success has been so much evident in these months. The shapewear universe indeed, is today a very fascinating and crowded space, where everybody asserts the original formula and claims the credit for starting this very revolution, which would have been unthinkable till some years ago while being mostly related to a world smelling of pharmacy and ether. Today shapewear has changed as much as women’s needs and has quit counters and “band-aids” to reach its own living space, that is fashion’s and fashion rhythms’; it has glamorized, has become sometimes romantic, without forgetting its shaping, controlling and performing features: an all-day-long comfortable and inseparable friend capable of keeping a little body-shaping secret. That is how Shapewear Revolution has started and Maglificio Ripa, as always, has not waited a single minute on the fence and has chosen the most qualified partner for its project designing: INVISTA. This is the very origin of the Shape-It-Up range, an exclusive capsule collection which best matches the new world of the LYCRA® beauty fabric to the most typical contents of Maglificio Ripa: a combination of innovation in style and technology as well as comfort and wearability. A key collection developed for garments that enhance the silhouette while offering various body-fitting solutions, from control and light support up to sober elegance and the most daring look. As far as the SPORT universe is concerned, some wide space has been devoted to research on polypropylene, where some expected novelties are going to be presented in a near future.
